Jonah: A Prophet out of Time
Jonah, the Prophet of Whale fame from the Old Testament encounters the New Testament and the law of Salvation through Christ in the form of the Beatitudes. His Jewish understanding of the written and oral Torah makes for some challenging discussions between himself and the Lord God, who Jonah so brazenly questions and confronts.
A more in-depth explanation from the back cover of Jonah: A Prophet out of Time:
"I've wandered far from Christ's love and wide of the mark that He established for those saved by grace. The agnosticism of a futile war in Southeast Asia, the violence of life on the streets and the destructiveness of selfish passions have provided me with a compelling insight into His love. For, through it all, His forgiveness, compassion and promise never failed. My Shepherd left the flock and searched the thickets for me, just as He does for each and every wandering soul. So, I write of God and our conversations in the context of a belligerent prophet named Jonah"
My prayer is that you may find hope and a hint of His amazing grace within these pages.
Shalom, Jonah

Sample: Meditation 13 Matt. 5:4 "for they shall be comforted"
*******
"God this is Jonah. You're going to have to explain why there is no comfort for some. It just isn't fair."
"Suppose, Jonah, your arm was infected. Would you go to Ackmad the goat herder to heal your infection; or would you go to someone who knew about medicines?"
"I would go to someone who knew about medicines, God."
"If you did not go to the man of medicine but went to Ackmad, instead, if you lost your arm would you be angry with the man of medicine?
"No, God."
"So how can you be upset with Me when you will not come to Me for comfort? My Son said, 'I am the way, the truth and the light.' If you want the comfort that only I can give, you must come to me. I am the keeper of your soul."
