Jonah: God is....Love

Using the simple phrase that God is love, this book explores a bit of the injustice in this world and how it appears that God just says that he loves us. Jonah explores with God the finite, unjust nature of man in comparison with the righteousness of the Living God. The introductory story, entitled Things Undone (pg3) is as close to my heart as anything I have written and expresses this apparently irreconcilable reality of Gods love and mans evil. The conclusion of 'only in and through Christ' is as difficult for Jonah as for most of us; yet, it's truth is undeniable. More=>

Almost none of this book has appeared on Jonahsway.com or in the weekly newsletter that can be received by contacting sbovia@neo.rr.com. It is as human and vulnerable as Covenant and will, hopefully, draw our humanity to His divinity by pointing out our need for His touch.

"I can understand the arguments of someone who fears God so greatly that they refuse to admit His existence. I can understand the need to blame God for my shortcomings and failures as an easier way. I can even understand the rebellion of those who were shown 'religiosity' instead of Christianity. But to permit my pride and anger to control me to the point of cutting off the only possibility I have for living at peace in this world and the next? It seems irrational." (Pg. 64)
