Raising up the remnant

2008

Raising up the remnant is Jonah's questioning of the worlds views of God, creation and justice as opposed to the Living Gods view. In this comparison Jonah finds many questions and few answers but is determined to remain a searcher and seeker. My hope is that anyone may be able to relate to the problems and questions that confront Jonah and find that as part of the faithful remnant they are still willing to stay the course. Jonah: Covenant
2004

Using the simple phrase that God is love, this book explores a bit of the injustice in this world and how it appears that God just says that he loves us. Jonah explores with God the finite, unjust nature of man in comparison with the righteousness of the Living God. The introductory story, entitled Things Undone (pg3) is as close to my heart as anything I have written and expresses this apparently irreconcilable reality of Gods love and mans evil. The conclusion of 'only in and through Christ' is as difficult for Jonah as for most of us; yet, it's truth is undeniable. Read More.....Click here

This is the most human of my books and is based upon Jude 20-23. "But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God; wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And convince some who doubt; save some by snatching them out of the fire; on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh". In this book Jonah discusses covenants both divine ( Luke 1: 68-72 )and human - the remnant (pg 32) and of my greatest friend or the meeting (pg 62) and of human compassion. Jonah: A Prophet out of Time
2001

Jonah has a provocative and compelling encounter with the Gospel of John. The Lord God often rebukes the human understanding of His words as Jonah questions them with statements like: "Most people ask My Son to behave as they would have their savior and king behave. They judge him and decide what is wrong with the way He is sharing Me. If they can do this to My Son, how much more must they do this to each other?" (Pg. 116) Read More.....Click here

Jonah, the Prophet of Whale fame from the Old Testament encounters the New Testament and the law of Salvation through Christ in the form of the Beatitudes. His Jewish understanding of the written and oral Torah makes for some challenging discussions between himself and the Lord God, who Jonah so brazenly questions and confronts. Read More.....Click here
